Friuli Venezia Giulia is an Italian region with a special statute.
It is extended on an area of 7558 Kmq and has a peculiar geographic position, borders on Austria to the north and on Slovenia to the east, so it has a heritage of tradition and cultural and linguistic mix.

Trieste is the administrative center of the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and also the most populated.
It is an important maritime junction because of its harbor that today represents one of the most relevant connection for the flow of international exchanges between the markets of Europe and Asia.
The Gulf of Trieste offers a rich variety of environments and attractions: white fleets that sail in the blue with Bora wind at their backs, cliffs and sheltered castles that offer panoramic glimpse perched over the Adriatic sea, little hidden beaches frequented for years only by fishermen, verandas overlooking the sea where it is possible to taste fresh-fished delicacies and suggestive submerged worlds.

Cividale del Friuli, with artistic jewels that are part of the world heritage of the Unesco, together with Tarcento are the most important sites of the Eastern Hills of Friuli, well-known all over the world for the precious Bacco’s nectar. Faedis, Attimis and Nimis are villages surrounded by the ruins of medieval castles.
The Valleys of Natisone, rich of woods of chestnuts and hazels, offer a variety of colors and scents in every season.

The city is situated at the eastern borders of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The richness of these territories is contained in few kilometers. We first found the sweet elevations of Collio, a harmonic area dominated by the Giulie Alps.
Follows the suggestive atmosphere of the lagoon, molded in the last millenniums as a consequence of the slow, but constant, rising of sea level and of the substantial fluvial deposit that originates countless small islands.
The lagoon contains also the precious treasure of Grado, which preserves in its historic centre monuments of exceptional interest.
To admire is inside the Basilica one of the most extraordinary mosaic paving complex existing in the world. Not so far, the rough nature of Carso, marked by the signs of the struggles that here took place before the First World War. Finally, the plain is dotted with neat small cities and small rural centers, which today still narrate the hard and tiring relation between the populations and their land, cultivated and reclaimed in an attentive relation of balance between the human intervention and environment. Cut through by the water of the Isonzo, a river that represents the most authentic bond between the different ethnic groups that for centuries have lived together in Gorizia. Pordenone is situated in the western part of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Piancavallo is the most important tourist site of Pordenone, located at the foot of Cavallo Mountain, in the municipality of Aviano.
